How We Manifested Our First House
Back in 2019, I attended a workshop with our Sun Life team. (Our BM Nancy, was still a Sales Manager back then!) One of the first activities was to create a vision board and write down our SMART goals—that’s Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
So, I made my list. And every year, I’d update it as my dreams evolved. Number 4 on that list? “Own a house before I turn 35.” I even printed a picture of a bungalow because they said you should visualize exactly what you want. The more specific, the better.
And I took that advice seriously.
In my head, I knew what my future house would look like—how big, how many rooms, how much it would cost. I even made it a habit to watch house tours on YouTube before bed. Manifesting became a fun little hobby. (Thank you Studio McGee, Birdhouse Media, Chernov Team, Sotheby’s Realty—you all fed my delusions!)
At least three times a week, I’d start my day by looking at my Vision Board. Some of my Sun Life friends were even more extra—one had theirs taped to their bedroom ceiling, another had it on the bathroom mirror. (Manifesting while brushing your teeth or doing your business. Love the dedication!) 😂
2019: Along with my Vision Board, I started living intentionally. To live intentionally means to choose your pains—you decide which things are worth struggling for. Knowing that even when I got tired, I’d stand up again and again because I knew what I wanted. I had to be clear about who I wanted to become—and (as cheesy as it sounds) I did everything in my power to become that person.
December 2021: We started viewing properties. Bungalow style, of course—just like the one on my Vision Board. Exactly how I imagined it.
January 18, 2022: I updated my list again and wrote: “Own a 2-storey house.” I didn’t have the full payment yet, but I believed I could make it happen. Manifest first, figure it out later.
March - April 2022: We checked out seven houses in five different areas. The last house we viewed ended up being our top choice. On our way home after the second visit, I went unusually quiet. . AJ asked me what was wrong. I said, “Wait. I’m manifesting that we’re going to get that house.”
And guess what? The Law of Attraction did its thing.
May 2022: Paid the Reservation Fee.
June 2022: Paid our Downpayment in full.
July 2022: Signed the Deed of Sale, Title, and got the Unit turnover!!!
I’m rarely emotional, but as I type this… wow. Don’t underestimate what 2.5 years can do in your life. And for me, good things started happening when I dared to dream.
Have the courage to take the first step, in faith, with no guarantees of success.
The big difference between achievement and failure lies in our willingness to go for it! If you wait to overcome every obstacle first—then you’ll never start or finish anything. You just have to be brave!
Decide what you want, write it down, make a plan, and then take action. In the end, it’s the little things—the daily habits, how you motivate yourself, how you dream for yourself—that will elevate your life.
“Manifestation is essentially bringing something tangible into your life through attraction and belief. If you think it, it will come.”
So, when was the last time you wrote down a goal?
When was the last time you chased after a dream?
If you’ve been waiting for a sign—this is it.
Dreaming is free.
If you believe you can, you can. ✨
